Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh: The Adani Group, one of India’s leading conglomerates, has announced plans to invest Rs 3,500 crore in two new projects in the central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. The investment will be used to set up a cement grinding unit in Guna and a propellant production plant in Shivpuri.
The announcement was made by Karan Adani, CEO of Adani Ports and SEZ, at the 2024 Regional Industrial Conclave in Gwalior. The conclave was attended by Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav.
The cement grinding unit in Guna will have a capacity of 2 million tonnes per annum. The propellant production plant in Shivpuri will be used to manufacture propellants for rockets, missiles, and other defence systems.
The Adani Group has already invested more than Rs 18,000 crore across various sectors in Madhya Pradesh. The new investment will further strengthen the group’s presence in the state and create over 3,500 jobs.
Karan Adani said that the Adani Group is committed to investing in Madhya Pradesh and contributing to the state’s economic development. He also praised the state government for its supportive policies and business-friendly environment.
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav welcomed the Adani Group’s investment and said that the state government is committed to providing all necessary support to the group’s projects. He also expressed confidence that the projects will create jobs and boost the local economy.
The Adani Group’s investment is a major boost to Madhya Pradesh’s economy. The state has been attracting significant investments in recent years, thanks to its strategic location, skilled workforce, and supportive government policies.
